Optional extras

• Box and material delivery. We bring boxes, tape, bubble wrap and wardrobe cartons to your door in advance if you would rather pack yourselves.
• Storage. Sealed container storage at our own yard if your dates do not line up.

Furniture dismantling and reassembly

Every house move with us includes the furniture work most companies charge extra for. Before anything is loaded, the crew dismantles what needs dismantling: beds, wardrobes, tables, and the flat pack that was never designed to leave the room it was built in. Everything travels wrapped and protected, and at the new address it goes back together in the rooms it belongs in. Beds are rebuilt the same evening and wardrobes stand where they should, with every bolt back where it belongs rather than rattling in a drawer.

Fixings are bagged and labelled as they come out, so nothing goes missing between two addresses. And when a piece has to come apart just to get round a staircase turn, we take it apart and rebuild it where it is going. That judgement is why the assembly work sits with our removal crews rather than a separate handyman: moving furniture is the trade, and furniture tells you what it needs the moment you lift it.

How your move works

Every move is planned individually, because no two houses, staircases or access situations are the same. Crew size and vehicles are allocated against the real job from the survey, which is why the plan holds on the day. Our crews wear Aviv uniforms and work the way they are trained to, not the way the morning happens to go. The team is 8 full-time movers, supported by trusted casual crew on bigger jobs, and the fleet runs from 3.5t vans to 18t trucks, all with tail lifts for the heavy pieces. Having different vehicle sizes matters more than it sounds: the right van gets closer to your door, and a job planned around two smaller vehicles can beat one lorry fighting for a bay on a red route. Every vehicle carries professional trolleys, heavy-duty straps, furniture skates, sofa and mattress covers, and carpet protectors, so nothing arrives by improvisation.

Every quote is fixed after a real survey of your home, because two homes with the same number of bedrooms can be completely different jobs once you have counted the stairs. What the ranges above tell you is the ballpark; what the survey tells you is what drives the number up or down:

The fixed quote covers the whole job: the crew, the van, blankets and straps, insurance for your belongings, and fuel. Payment is straightforward. A 10% deposit at booking secures your date, and the balance is due after the move is complete, once everything is in and you have seen the job done. We take payment by bank transfer, card or cash. If the job runs past the time we planned together, extra hours are charged at a clear hourly rate agreed with you before the crew starts, never invented on the day.

Moving and storing at the same time

Moves do not always line up neatly. Contracts lag, chains wobble, the new flat is not ready for another fortnight. When that happens, our own container storage keeps the move alive: your furniture is loaded once, sealed into 250 cu ft wooden containers in front of you, and kept at our yard under 24 hour security and CCTV until you want it back.
